Shi-Jin (Song Joong-Ki) is the captain of the special forces. He catches a motorcycle thief with Sergeant Major Dae-Young (Jin Goo). The thief is injured during his capture and is sent to the hospital. Dae-Young realises his cellphone was stolen by the thief and goes to the hospital to retrieve his cellphone.In the emergency room, Shi-Jin meets Dr. Mo-Yeon (Song Hye-Kyo) for the first time. He falls in love with her immediately. Mo-Yeon mistakenly assumes Shi-Jin is part of thief's criminal gang. He proves to her that he is a soldier with the help of army doctor Myeong-Joo (Kim Ji-Won).
Shi-Jin and Mo-Yeon begin to date, but due to their jobs their dates don't go well. Shi-Jin takes an order to lead his soldiers on a peacekeeping mission to the country of Uruk. Meanwhile, Mo-Yeon becomes upset that she fails to become a professor due to a colleague's privileged background. When Shi-Jin and Mo-Yeon meet again, they talk about their views on life and realise how different they are. Shi-Jin, as a soldier, kills to protect lives and Mo-Yeon, as a doctor, tries to save all lives. They say their goodbyes.Eight months later, Mo-Yeon rebuffs the sexual advances of hospital chairman Suk-Won (Tae In-Ho) and as retribution is assigned to lead a medical team in Uruk. There, Shi-Jin and Mo-Yeon meet again.

The rave of descendants of the sun have hit. Everyone was talking about this Korean drama, So I have watch this drama just because.. My fb timeline keeps on talking about this drama. So here I am have finished watching this drama and started to write this review LOL.
So.. I don't understand what is the hype on this drama? Is it because of the actor? Song Joong Ki? Well for me this drama just slightly above average. It have amazing cinematography and interesting storyline and plot but it doesn't really entertaining. In terms of medical kind of drama, Code Blue is more interesting. In terms of action/military kind drama.. well it ok for me. The ending plot kinda flat. After the antagonist have died, the plot and storyline kinda flat. It sort of lost of purpose and the remaining of the episode is like a filler episode. Even the final showdown is not fancy as I have expected.
Well for me this drama is a good romance drama. If you expect some military or medical drama, this not it. In terms of romance drama.. It really good. It have this sweet and romantic scene that make me smile. There are many funny scene that make me laugh.
Overall, this drama is slightly average for me. It just the ending kinda flat and seems like a filler episode. Other than that I enjoy watching this drama.With that I rate this drama 3 and half out of 5.. :D
