Synopsis :
In ancient times, Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) is an unbeatable general in wars, but the young King (Kim Min-Jae) is jealous of Kim Shin and kills him. Kim Shin becomes Dokkaebi (Goblin), possessing an immortal life. At first he thinks that he is blessed, but he realizes that he is cursed.
Closer to the present day, Kim Shin has waited 900 years for a human bride to end his immortal life. One night, he saves a dying pregnant woman (Park Hee-Von) who is destined to die. Meanwhile, the Grim Reaper (Lee Dong-Wook) is unable to find the dead pregnant woman. The woman gives birth to a baby girl named Ji Eun-Tak (later played by Kim Go-Eun). 9 years later, Ji Eun-Tak lives with her mother and is able to see ghosts. One night, her mother suddenly dies. On that night, she meets the Grim Reaper.
In the present day, Ji Eun-Tak is a high school student. She still sees ghosts and hears their whisper of “Dokkaebi’s bride.” She now lives with her aunt’s family, but she is mistreated by them. On her birthday, Ji Eun-Tak sits by the sea with a lighted birthday cake. At that time, Kim Shin suddenly appears in front of her. Kim Shin does not know why, but he can hear her voice and appears in front of her against his will. Coincidentally, Kim Shin lives with the Grim Reaper at the same house.
Now, Kim Shin appears in front of her against his will, whenever she turns off the lights. One day, Ji Eun-Tak tells him that he is Dokkaebi and she is his bride.

This is the drama that in the hype right now. Everyone are talking about this drama. Even making wedding picture in Goblin theme. Well after watching this drama no wonder it in the hype. This drama have amazing storyline. The storyline is beautiful, eerie but heartwarming at the same time.
What I like about this drama is the cinematography. It have amazing scenery. The drama keeps going back on the Joseon Era and back on the modern era. It was like seeing modern drama but we still get a peak on the Joseon era. Honestly in Korean drama, I'm more fans on the historical/fantasy drama that revolve around Joseon era. The modern drama doesn't appeal me much. However this drama have become one of my favourite. It have this complicated but beautiful storyline. It is amazing!!
Besides that, this drama is funny. I just love seeing the bromance between the Grim Reaper and the Goblin. They seems like 'I hate you but if you not here I'm gonna be lonely'. They are so funny.

So the next one is the love story between Eun Tak and the Goblin. Honestly I have a love hate in the romance between Eun Tak and the Goblin. Sometimes they are funny, sometimes they are sweet. So sweet than what I can endure. Sometimes it become draggy in their romance scene.. =.= Sometimes I love Eun Tak and sometimes she is so annoying and clingy. Well I can expect she can be clingy when she doesn't have anyone to count on but too clingy in my opinion. That is why I have the love hate between Eun Tak and their romance. Sometimes I love them sometimes it can be kinda annoying LOL.. However it still entertaining to watch.
So overall, this drama is really good. No wonder it become a hype. Even the OST have matched perfectly with the drama theme. The OST have this slow, eerie and beautiful song.
Overall, I love this drama and with that I rate it 5 out of 5.. This is one of the recommended drama. :D
