I'm a bit late on making this review but I just going to make a quick review on this one.
The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines (released in Malaysia as "Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa") is an adventure feature film set against the backdrop of ancient Malay, Roman and Chinese civilizations. It tells the tale of the journey of Merong Mahawangsa escorting a Roman prince to wed a beautiful Chinese princess during the 2nd century. Featuring an international cast, The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines combines elements of romance, adventure, coupled with a strong dose of hand-to-hand combat & martial arts.

I like the storyline. Like the casts. What I don't
like is the dialog. The facts that the story consists of many races and countries is really interesting. But why is that when the princess and her servant was talking in English? Even when they among with their own people. It sound silly and I prefer when they are talking in Mandarin or Cantonese. At least they sound real and does not sound like acting. Even when they are at the India. People there were talking English among themselves. For the main cast Merong, he look tough and all his physical appearance looks very suitable. However when he started talking I hate him. When he talk in Malay, he sound like acting and his accent is weird. Doesn't sound Malay at all. When he talk in English, he sound like a cocky person. His tone sound like he bragging or something. It really annoying. =.=
Most of the scene is okay. The fighting scene is acceptable but it seems a bit rushed but still I can understand. The CGI effects is okay, it does not overrated until it look like a cartoon. But some of the scene does look unrealistic but it still acceptable. So overall this story is okay. A bit rushed but understandable. I give it 3 out of 5.
