Based on the novel with the same title.
While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum. Near the body, police have found a baffling cipher. Solving the enigmatic riddle, Langdon is stunned to discover it leads to a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci…clues visible for all to see…and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.Langdon joins forces with a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, and learns thelate curator was involved in the Priory of Sion—an actual secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Botticelli, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci, among others. The Louvre curator has sacrificed his life to protect the Priory's most sacred trust: the location of a vastly important religious relic, hidden for centuries

my review:
Haven't read the novel so I can't compare the story. The review is only based on this movie.
Ok this movie is interesting.. A bit complicated but interesting. I love the way they solve all the puzzles to unravel the truth. Actually this movie is recommended by my lecturer for my study. I can say that there are a lot of the security in this movie haha. The storyline is interesting but a bit of religious. It still acceptable. SO overall this movie is really recommended for people who love mystery. A word of precaution. "Do not watch it multi-tasking. It need a full attention, otherwise you will not understand." Okay.. Give it 4 out of 5 XD
